Artist biography :

LaDiva Ruan was born on March 26th, 1987. Her passion for art came at a very young age in the form of drawing. When her parents discovered she had the ability to draw well they hired a private teacher in order to further develop her raw talent. This became her hobby on the side while she attended grade school. It was not until she came to study in the United States that she fully immersed herself in the world of art. She has stated before that everything came into perspective when she saw a paintbrush and canvas in the display window of an art store. She knew then and there what she would do for the rest of her life and has dedicated herself to painting since that day.

In her never-ending search to find her own unique style, LaDiva experimented with many different combinations of colors, techniques and skills. As a result her paintings vary in size, subject and theme but all her creations carry the same vibrant colors and imagery for which she is known. She has stated that her ideas for her projects come from a combination of her imagination and her day-to-day experiences in life. These two things come together in her mind to formulate a liberating thought that becomes the basis of her work. Since she was a child it was very easy for her to conjure up ideas from her imagination but to truly get lost in the moment, to stimulate the senses with true artistic value is the hardest thing imaginable. Always looking to challenge herself and expand her talents LaDiva embraces every project, with paintbrush in hand, to create an amazing work of art that will last for eternity.
